What Alexa can do

With the smart home skill "Alarmanlagenmanager" you operate your system by voice:

"Alexa, turn on the hallway light." "Alexa, set the bathroom thermostat to 21 degrees." "Alexa, activate the Movie night scene." "Alexa, arm the alarm system."

Your devices appear as regular smart home devices in the Alexa app – with the names from your system.

Connecting

1. In the Alexa app, enable the "Alarmanlagenmanager" skill.
2. In the sign-in window, sign in with your Alarmanlagenmanager account (including the code if 2FA is active).
3. Choose a panel and set the scope:
4. Switch and set devices (lights, sockets, shutters, thermostats, scenes),
5. optionally arm/disarm by voice – for this you store the system's user code (encrypted, used only for switching).
6. Confirm – Alexa then discovers the devices and adds them to the app.

Arming/disarming by voice

• Without a stored user code Alexa doesn't even offer the alarm function – the area then doesn't appear as an Alexa device.
• For disarming, Alexa additionally asks for your spoken security code (which you define in the Alexa app). A shout through the window disarms nothing.

Managing and disconnecting

The link appears – like the ChatGPT one – in the panel view under AI access → Connected services and can be disconnected there at any time. Disabling the skill in the Alexa app also ends the access.

As everywhere: the Alexa link can never do more than the linked account may do on the chosen panel.

Several panels

Each link selects one panel. To operate several systems via Alexa, link the skill accordingly several times (per Alexa household/account) – or operate the other systems in the browser and via ChatGPT/Claude.
